Details: This renovation of the former Sears Department store was driven by the client’s desire to strengthen the building’s identity and make it more appealing, in order to attract a higher-value tenant base. Using the idea of color and light at the street level, with the new awning and light feature, the entry into the building has become more welcoming.

The huge former department store windows now glow with LED animations that reflect the ebb and flow of the day (more lively during rush hours, gentler during the lulls) and mark the time. This is now framed by the new awning displaying the building’s new brand logo.

The redesign continues inside to the lobby, where design elements echo the color, light, and forms of the exterior, and recreate the lobby as a warmer, more appealing environment.
